IRCBots son un tipo de "bot" que reciben órdenes y son controlados vía la Charla de Relevo de Internet (IRC). IRCBots are a type of “bot” that receive commands and are controlled via Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

Botnets han estado usados para enviar el spam remotamente, instalando más malware sin el consentimiento, y otros objetivos ilícitos.Botnets have been used for sending spam remotely, installing more malware without consent, and other illicit purposes.
